I've played worms a couple of times and i never really got it - Will it being on the wii make a change if you don't like it in the first place?

Certainly saw the DS and PSP editions for sale, they look great, no idea how they'll play, assume the core gameplay is the same, just online.
If that appeals then pick it up.
If Worms has always left you cold, then don't bother, I reckon the wiimote and touch screen will be merely ways to shunt the onscreen cursor about anyways.

It got an impressive score on ign - http://ds.ign.com/articles/817/817155p2.html

Looks to be the "definitive" worms game.

There is one planned for the Wii with 4 player online "in space" apparently.

Might pick this up this evening, I've heard nothing but good things about it and dare I say it, I'm getting tired of Pokemon after 300+ hours.....

Just got my hands on it and I have to say, excellent looking game. Going to give wifi a go once the sisters get home with their own ones.

I havent tried a random online match, just played against my brother at it was great fun. Nothing like a Concrete donkey to finish off a match

I was playing through the tutorial and noticed something. The scenery wasn't being destroyed by the weapons.

"NOOOO!!!!! They left out destructible scenery!!!!!"

Which is one of the features which makes Worms what it is.

Started to play a battle and the scenery is being destroyed alright. Phew!
    Damn tutorial

The first Worms DS game was quite buggy, hope this one is abit more polished.

Got this on friday and I'm loving it - way better than the orginal.
Just making my way through the single player campaign right now and haven't tried the online matches yet but had loads of local multiplayer over the weekend and it's brilliant fun - reminds me of back in the day in a grotty flat in Rathmines playing it on an Amiga. :)

Finally got a chance to play it a bit more. Single player is very meh. If you're going to just buy it for that I'd say avoid.

Multiplayer on the other hand  Brilliant. Spent some time with a couple of mates having 3 player games. I forgot how much fun Worms was.

The only complaint I have is that sometimes the consoles aren't synced, so the music is out and there's a bit of lag. But it's turn based so that doesn't really matter.

    But yeah, lots of fun.
