Following the "motorbike carrier" thread, here's an idea:

How about we regulate that for sale / wanted thingy a bit ?

Motorhome accessories still are a bit hard to find / hard to shift as the market is still new and small ...so here's the idea:

We could create a sticky on top of the forum titled "For Sale/Wanted" where anyone could post their motorhome/camper related items ..but ...and here's the catch ...the actual item would have to be for sale / wanted on adverts .ie.
A link could be placed in the post to the ad on adverts.ie and all successive transactions and haggeling etc could then take place where they should ..on adverts.ie

But at least you'd reach your target audience.

Definiitely a great idea........a one stop point of reference to buy/sell/exchange any/all camping/motorhome related stuff.
See the resposnse that it has already received

Think of the number of people with a shared interest who access this space - it may provide them with a relevant marketplace.

P.S. It might also stop me blocking up your forum !;)

So here's the provisional RULEZ & REGULATIONZ (to be put into the sticky later on when it's created).

This thread was created to have one focal point for motorhome / campervan related gear either for sale or wanted.

There will be NO DIRECT ADVERTISING in this thread, the idea is that you place your for sale/wanted item on adverts.ie (boards' own small ads ..they're FREE !) and then create a link to your ad from this thread.

The idea behind it is to
a) make it easier to find camping related ads on adverts.ie
b) keep this forum free of ads and sales banter

The rules are as follows:
- in your post only give a brief description of the item for sale/wanted and the link to the ad
- save the big description and any pictures / further details for the ad itself
- do not mention price, phone numbers, addresses in your post.
- no posts from commercial companies (boards rules)
- adverts.ie rules apply

Any posts outside the rules will be deleted without further discussion
