    Hi,

My 7 year has finally asked can he start playing rugby - phew, was worried that he might not be interested - so I'm wondering what club to take him along to.

We live in south Dublin (Blackrock) and I know there's a junior section down in Stradbrook but I'd welcome other suggestions.

    TIA,
    O29

Rock have a good set up out there. As do Monkstown and Seapoint.

Dont send him to rock, or he will start speaking and acting like Ross O'Carrol Kelly over night :D

Ha - seriously, that's a bit of a myth. Most Blackrock people speak nothing like Ross. Don't think Luke fitzgerald or Drico speak anything like Ross meself.
The youth club isn't affilated with the school anyway. I reffed them this year, a good bunch of people and well managed.

Blackrock Rugby club in stradbrook host mini-rugby on a Sunday morning from under 6 to under 13. Here is a link http://www.blackrockcollegerfc.com/mini.htm

It has been up and running for 20+ years, with players from all of the local schools.
