Is anyone here doing P2 international variant? I signed up to P2 and then went to lecture and realised it was Irish/UK GAAP variant. I never covered any FRS's so don't want to start doing them at this late stage and can't find anywhere that does P2 int in a evening course....

It looks like GCD has both. I'm about to sign up myself but I don't know which to go for. I've been looking around Boards to try and get some opinions but I think everyone has found something far more interesting to reply to.....

Just saw the date of this post.....I hope you haven't been waiting for a reply til now

Do the international stream unless you plan to work in small and medium companies or small practice. All of the big employers use IFRS, banks, funds, quoted etc…. Griffith are the only ones offering P2 International stream part time (evenings) and he is a good lecturer. UK GAAP is in its final few years, being used in only 2 small countries on the edge of Europe where as IFRS is used in 120 countries and even the US is converting to IFRS from 2014 (at least that is the plan). If you do work in SME and do P2 IFRS, you can still do a one day conversion course for UK GAAP.

I'll be doing IFRS at GCD. BPP do it too, but you have to be able to attend 9am to 5pm weekdays.
