What the hell is it? It's on my Dell laptop (came preinstalled) only found it cos i pressed a button on my keyboard, just to see what it does (it's a picture of a little house...)

It seems to be fairly similar to windows media centre, am i right? also, can i safely get rid of it? (why do i need it when i have to windows stuff already?)

Its basically the Dell version of Windows Media Player. Its a load of rubbish tbh. I uninstalled mine with no ill effects

It'll take up a couple of gigs in it's own partition on your hard drive as well. I formatted my laptop the moment I got it to get rid of all that crap so I've no idea what it's like.

It will allow you to view photos, play videos and CD's without booting into windows. Basically it's a media centre.
