I looked at possibly buying this;

to see what was the catch ... € 9.99 seems for nothing.
All AShampoo software is so cheap

The page that came up for my credit card no. did not have a padlock on the status bar.
Doesn't that mean it's not secure ?
Whan you check their assurance that it is secure, they pop a window saying;

Am I wrong in thinking it should have a padlock icon ?
How do i know it's not a phisher ? (Microsoft reports that it's not a registered phishing site, but warns you anyway..)

I'd say the Ashampoo site would be safe to use, they are quite known and been around for ages. However you should be able to find a free tool that does a better job.

Microsoft's regclean is too unsatisfactory .........tell's you nothing.
Running it is an act of faith. I like to know what was wrong and get conformation that it has been corrected.

I always thought so, but I am not 100% sure. I'd say ashampoo site is safe anyway.
