folks does anyone know where the thread on DIY wind turbines has gone stared bt xenop???? i have spent 30 mins klooking for it and now i think i am lookingat it and just cant see it i done a searcg and all and nothing came up b4 peopele start on me thanks paddy

No idea about the old thread. There is plenty of googleable stuff on how to DIY wind turbine*

or even hydro turbine for this who happen to live near a stream with a decent head.

Hope these are of some use. There are many more around. There are loads of very simple models you can build in case you have geek kids who need a wind powered light for something.

*it is extremely easy to get yourself chopped up by a rotating metal blade so be careful.

Nope, hasn't disappeared at all. Its on the third page of this forum. Just make sure that the Display options at the bottom of the GI board forum has the option Show all threads from the beginning and not just the last month.
