Anyone know if GHD's work in New York with the voltage difference or is there anything I need to get such as a voltage convertor?

Yea it works pretty crap. It takes aages to heat up, then when it does heat up, it doesnt stay hot. Very annoying.

How long did it take to heat up and how long did it stay hot? Ive heard from some people it works and from some it doesnt.

I used one of the newer GHD's when i was over in New York in Februrary and although it took a little longer to heat up it worked fine.

I used mine over there in February and it didnt work very well at all. It didn't heat up very well. I ended up using the iron in my bedroom to straighten my hair.

Did you use a votage converter or just a two pin plug?

Oh it didn't stay hot. As soon as it reached the full temp (light flashing), once I closed it on my hair the flashing stopped :(

The Mark 4 GHD (the new one) works in America, it has some kind of universal voltage.
