Currently shooting .22 rifles twice weekly in Courtlough, County Dublin.
Looking to get into Pistol target shooting.
Could anyone tell me of the clubs in Dublin that cater for pistols?

    thanks

If you're an alumni of UCD, they do air pistol these days :

There's also the City of Dublin Pistol Club, I think one or two of them post in here and can give you more details:

Other than those, there's not that many clubs in the city itself that do pistol shooting; you have to go either north to Wilkinstown (for air pistol) or south to Wicklow (Rathdrum Rifle and Pistol Club, East Coast Shooting, Hilltop, Dublin Rifle Club, BRC, etc, etc, all do .22 pistol last time I checked - they all have posters in here who could help you.

You can go to the City of Dublin Pistol Club website and under the membership menu item you can download the application form and the conditions of membership. All applications go before the committee. This is normal with most clubs. We try to avoid the problem of people joining us just to get their licence. We do however want to attract enthusiastic active shooters.

We are exclusively a pistol club and that is primary focus. However if you do have rifle or shotgun also, they can also be used at the range facility.

If you need more information, it would be best to contact the secretary. His contact details are on the website.

    Hope this helps.

Rathdrum Rifle and Pistol Club http://www.rathdrumrpc.org have a number of members shooting .22 target pistol on the indoor 25yd range. Drop a note to the secretary via the link on the website and arrange to come down.
