    "What am I?"

"You're playing catch up, would you like to play or pass?" :D

Remember the really cheesy waves to camera the contestants would give during the opening titles? :D

Anyway, here you go. I'm sure for some of you, like me, these'll bring back memories of days off school sick with nothing better to watch than crappy daytime telly........ oh, and 'Going For gold', of course! ;):D Enjoy!

    Opening titles from 1991:

Series one final where a trip to the Seoul '88 Olympics was the grand prize, hence the name of the show in the first place! :D

Haha aidan, I forgot about how cheesy the intro was. All he needed was the glitzy jacket. :)

Well.. something new everyday.. never realised that's where the name came from..

Whatever about Henry Kelly being a legend.. Daphne is brilliant.. wasn't she Fifteen-to-1 champion a billion times and I remember seeing her on a show on the BBC a couple of years back.. kind of a "beat the geeks" thingy.. :)

Never mind a glitzy jacket, what I find hilarious is that he was wearing a tux for the final! Like he thought it was such a big and important event that he felt "oooh, I'd better dress up real snazzy for the final!" Jesus, Henry, it was the final of a daytime quiz show, not the bloody Oscars or something! :D

You're only realising that now? Sure we've all suspected that for years, right back to when Tubridy first arrived on the scene! Sure, when Henry Kelly was a guest on 'Tubridy Tonight' last year, didn't they talk about how similar they looked, even to the point of Tubridy jokingly referring to Henry as "daddy"! :D

[conspiracy theory]Hmmm, makes me wonder if it was more than just a joking reference now, though! ;):D[/conspiracy theory]

His name was Henry Kelly, Your thinking of the TV presenter from Fr Ted who came to the island and went nuts from drinking

Strangely,Henry Kelly was actually asked to play the part and turned it down.

Rember how no mater where the contestant came from he was able to say how lovely a place it was and how he had been there at one stage or another
