    Hello

Is there any way to reverse an action on windows, lost a few images after creating a shortcut on each one on the desktop instead of copying them to the desktop by mistake and having done this delted the files off the camera before noticing.

Would system restore be the solution to the problem or is there any other way?

    Thanks.

Sounds like you never got them as far as the computer, but made shortcuts to the camera and then deleted the pictures from the camera?

There is software you can get that will retrieve pictures 'deleted' from the memory card in the camera. In short, yes it's possible to get the pictures back.

System restore will be useless as from what you said, it sounds like the images never got to your PC.

Yes just tried a search and pretty sure theyre not there, I looked for the file name in my computer, so that should have been sufficient.

    Any other way?

Yea youre right spurious just realised the file location was on the camera, darn, so is the software the only solution? If so any links?

    Try this one
    Data Recovery.

I have tried and tested it. It's free and it worked perfectly.
Also comes highly rated by Download.com.
