    Hi Folks,

I was wondering if you guys would know if its possible to get Rain Gear that opens a the side similar to a tracksuit? Typically when I wish to remove my waterproof trousers it involves taking off my boots which isnt convenient at times.

Yep you can, my water proof trousers do exactly that. They're Lowe Alpine something or others and they're pretty easy to get into and out of. Dunno what the type of trouser is called though but I suppose you'll probably have to spend a bit of money.

You can get waterproof trousers that open up at the sides certainly. Some zips only go up as far as the knees, others go much further. On mine (Berghaus) the zips go virtually all the way up to the top of the thigh, to within 6 inches or so of the waistband. You can even get ones that unzip completely to the waistband and unhook. Try a decent outdoor shop like Great Outdoors or 53 Degrees North and you'll find plenty. Good ones ain't cheap though :)

Or get a big floppy poncho at Tesco's for €4.99 and not have to get in and out of waterproof trousers between showers. Fine for summer walking...
