Asbestos?!

Guy came to fix the immersion today, but it didn't go to plan so we had to turn the water off in the attic. It's a rented house, no idea how old but prob more than 25 years, and nobody's been up the attic as long as I've lived here. The chap couldn't climb up himself so I had to go up and turn off the valve. First thing I noticed was it is absolutely boiling up there, like a greenhouse. 2nd thing was that the place was full of lagging, that yellowy/green coloured stuff, all over the place. Does that contain asbestos?

I spent about two minutes up there before I got the valve turned off, and came back down. I'm a bit bloody worried about exposure, as I'm told it only takes a little bit to cause serious problems in later years! Anyone have any experience of this?

    Thanks.

That is normal glass fibre insulation which is not asbestos so dont worry about that.
The reason the attic is hot is that you may have noticed the sun was shining today and as the roof slope is not insulated it gets v hot, for the same reason the roof space gets v cold when there is frost on roof
