Have a look at this guy who got knocked out of the ring while trying to escape.

I first saw that quite some time ago , if the guy wanted to quit a simple No Mas would have been better suited .

Onto other guys who have been knocked out of the ring(although not from running) Nigel Benn was put through the ropes in the first round of his tragic fight with Gerald McClellan , Sergei Lyakhovich was knocked through the ropes and out in the last second of his fight with Shannon Briggs(I actually think slow timekeeping cost Sergei his portion of the heavyweight title) .

Oleg Maskaev ko'ed Hasim Rahman in their first fight by putting him through the ropes and onto the announcers table right next to Jim Lampley . Maskaev nearly repeated the trick in the second fight when Rahman , as Rahman nearly got put through the ropes just before being stopped .

Watch the Rahman clip again. The funniest part is when the Copper tries to help Rahman and he gets walloped by a flying chair. The look on his face is priceless. He's looking as if to say, f*** Rahman, my head is killing me. The chair almost breaks his neck, but he recovers and it is damn funny

True about the timekeeping, he also seemed to get his legs trapped between the judges table and the ring in an awkward looking manner which may have made it more difficult him to haul himself back in.

Whats the rule with this anyhow, do they have 20 seconds to get back in the ring or just 10 like it was a knockdown?

I know they will never fight again but if they do Rahman should demand a ring surrounded by beanbags in the fight contract:D

They have 20 seconds but the ref called it off after about 4 as he said Sergei was in no position to continue .
