    NK: Which players in Ireland do people respect or admire as legends of the game? Is there anyone in particular who is at the forefront of that list?

    Noel Furlong, Frank Callaghan, Roy Brindley, Bob Battersby, Padraig Parkinson, Scott Gray and Donnacha O’Dea are all legends of the game this side of the ocean and I suppose Dan Harrington could be taken as Irish too. But, in my own opinion, Andy Black always leads the way with huge results at most events he is at. He would be well recognised at any event he plays now in the world
    lol at Bob Battersby in that list. He is a legend in his own way though.

    Could not resist that after Dave Kingstons interview at the Irish open with him , He has been in my head since so i had to put him down as a legend

    I can recommend that interview too. Bob almost sounds coherent in parts, but it is quintessential Bob for those that know him.
