Cordless dect phones do all need to be connected via ATA?

hi

I will have my base station handset next to my ATA/PAP2 but what im wondering for the additional handsets dotted throughout the house do they all need to be connected via RJ-11 cable to the PAP2 or are they working wirelessly via the base station?

The following is an example what im looking at but will settle for any standard type argos base and handset

If your base station and handsets are all GAP compatible you can register them all with the one base unit that is plugged into your ATA. Effectively you can mix and match base statations if they are GAP compatible.

The additional handset bases are just chargers. All of the handsets in the Philips kit you postsed register with the base handset that needs to be connected to the ATA.
