    Hey,

Was just wondering if it was possible to download warhawk in the us store as i dont want to wait till thursday. If it is possible do i have to do anything to make my credit card or whatever work? I have a mastercard credit card.

    Thanks,

I wouldn't see any problems downloading or paying for it. Theres nothing you could "do" to your card anyway.

I needed a US billing address on my VISA card when i tried to buy Castlevania SOTN a while back. I can't see any way around it.

I'll be happy with the headset bundle in any case.

I have a mastercard credit card.

Far as a i recall, on Mastercard transactions under $50 the address isn't checked.

I've a Mastercard, and have had no trouble buying content from the U.S store.

Ditto, I use a mastercard on the US store. Just put in any old US address as the billing address. It's not checked up to $50, AFAIK.

Looking forward to getting Warhawk tonight.

What puts me off downloading it is that don't get the headset and option to trade it in.

it never even went to the part where you choose how much you want to put in...it just said after confirming adress billing address is not valid or something like that and i tried 2 different addresses...went to be because i found out that if you download it it is locked to that account which imo if true is very stupid but seems to protect people from giving it to there friends...also yes the servers are worldwide as i checked that out..

Still haven't downloaded..I'm wondering if I should go with the boxed edition instead..

Some reviews - getting great scores, well deserved from my time with the beta:

    IGN
It may be multiplayer only, it may not have bots, and it may have a steep learning curve, but Warhawk lives up to its billing: a AAA experience that is an adrenaline rush for online fans. Large worlds, balanced combat mechanics and impressively deep server mechanics help this fast paced game soar.

    Overall: 8.8

    1up
It's not easy to create a multiplayer game that's utterly accessible to first-timers and yet varied enough to have serious legs. Sure, it has its share of flaws, and enough areas for improvement to look forward to a sequel or expansion. And paying $40 for a game that lacks any single-player mode whatsoever certainly feels a little...much. It feels like half a game, but it costs more than half the retail price of a PS3 title, and it's hard to ignore that. But you're paying $40 for a game that should provide dozens -- perhaps even hundreds -- of hours of frantic, addictive, online-shooter fun. That's more than a lot of games offer.

    Avg. Score: 8.5

    Gamespot
Warhawk is a 32-player, multiplayer-only shooter from Sony. It has ties back to another Warhawk, an early game for the original PlayStation that focused on the warhawk itself, a fighter jet that can convert to hover mode and back again. You probably don't remember it, which hardly matters, because the multiplayer focus of the PlayStation 3 Warhawk game leaves it with no real story and no real sense of the war you're fighting. This game has a stripped-down feel, but the exciting gameplay certainly makes up for those feelings. This is blue versus red across multiple modes and maps, in the land or in the air. And it's excellent fun.

    Overall: 8.5

Between this and Heavenly Sword in a couple of weeks, my PS3 should hopefully be well and truly out of its summer slumber.

I was under the impression it was online only.

    It is.

Downloaded it today. Easily the ps3's best exclusive title so far, insanely fun though i do wish more people would talk in it.
If anyone wants to add me, i use the same name for psn as i do for boards.

I'm pretty sure it's multiplayer only, but not necessarily online only - you can do four player split screen.

Only from what I've read though, I'm away for the weekend so won't be picking it up until next week at the earliest.

Still unsure about waiting for the boxed version or not, I know about the limitations of the download but can't think of any reason why they'd be a problem. On the other hand having to put a disc in all the time would be an annoyance I could live without if I can just have a nice easy executable sitting on my XMB... The main appeal of the boxed version is the headset since I don't have one yet and it'd be pretty necessary in a game like this.

Oh yeah sorry, you're right... you can indeed do multiplayer split screen.

It really depends on what the quality of the headset is like. I suppose an extra €20 for a headset isn't too bad regardless. If you can handle the wait, I'd say get the boxed version. If not, download and buy a headset yourself.
