mate those cheap bikes are crap . I bought one years ago and they are crap. If you insist on buying one buy a good 2nd hand or new one(400+euro new), by good one I mean the ones you see in commercial gyms. Using a crap one is annoying and it inevitably breaks easily. Better to get her a gym membership or go to a gym where you pay per visit. Why dont you buy her a normal bike and go cycling around parks etc?

yeah need to get a bike that has momentum and resistance, they ones that just stop when you stop peddling are useless

You can get those things you stick tothe back tire of a real bicycle to turn it into an exercise bike. I think cycle ways on the quays have them. they add resistance, pretty neat

Get one second hand. Seeing as this is bargain alerts just go walking!, or get a set of weights which will probably shift fat a lot faster than a bike, weights are cheap and have a high resale value.
