Hey im having a bit of a problem here.

I just found out that i didnt get my place on campus, i rang Shanowen Hall and square, and they both said that it is booked out.

Is there any other student accomadation around?!

I was thinking of this place but it seems a bit far away http://www.mie.ie/Student_Accommodation/Student_Residence.asp

I lived there for the 1st semester last year. 10 minutes is a bit generous tbh. Its more like 20-25 minutes. Or you can get the 103 but it only comes every hour. The apartments are lovely though. You could always stay there for the 1st semester and then move into Shanowen for the 2nd Semester. They usually have vacancies after chrimbo.
If it's an apartment you're after at this stage it's either there or Gateway.

Ok so its down between Hazelwood or this Gateway place...will there be many DCU students in both of these places, which is furthest away from DCU ? and are they in dodgy areas?

Nice, DCU must be very simple to get accommodation for compared to the other Universities in Dublin. Most of my friends who are going to TCD and UCD have nightmare stories!
