    Hi All,

I used to be an exclusive PPP player, I decided to cash out of there a while back and concentrate on Full Tilt. I would classify myself as a tight player, I don't like to risk my entire stack, I guess I would be a small pot player if anything, but will take a risk from time to time :)

Anyway, I've been going good enough on FT, I noticed a lot of people on there with the same style as myself, so re-raising people trying to steal the blinds, and playing position alot more (even with rags) is a profitable ploy (oviously I don't do that every hand).

I got a mail from PP saying that I had money left in my account, don't ask me how cause I removed every penny I thought, anyway, I went back onto PP and decided to play a few games, I ended up winning circa 750 (from the 84 left in the account) and cashed in 3 tournaments. I don't think I've ever ran so well on PP before.

It got me thinking, oviously FT has a lot of US players on there and I adjusted my style according to their play, when I went back to PP (European based) the style seems to work, I was wondering, has anyone else noticed an clear difference in style of play on sites, and would you adjust your play depending on the site your playing on?

yes, if you improve enough to beat the games on FT you are certainly a favourite at the same stakes on PPP.

I've never done research into which are the best/easiest sites going, I went to FT for their sign up bonus tbh, I did notice that I dropped a little bit in the first week but went up then, I really like their range of games (I love the HORSE tournaments), but I have to say that I have noticed that it's a very "tight" site

FT is regarded as the toughest site on the net to beat at any level.

Woohoo, that has made me realyl happy now, thanks Opr, I've won 2 horse tournaments, 1 holdem tournament, 1 Omagh high low, have a great record in $2-$20 SnGs (havn't tried bigger) and am more than holding my own on the 1/2 cash games.

Going to grab a celebrity coffee now I think

the difference is so great between them. Funny enough, i dont like the ppp style of play anymore, its far too aggressive in smaller cash games, you seem to have to put all your money in after the flop a lot of the time, and that leads to some rough beats. you don't find so much of that on ft or stars.

Even live i find such a difference in play and not only at international level, look around your own country, galway games seem to have much more slow play than the regular dublin games where you see more aggressive post flop action, and cork is different again. Then you go up north and its mental altogether.
I played live with the scandies in cash games a lot over the past two years, and they play such a different game, they seem to value any pair on the flop, and are willing to shove over a raiser with middle pair regularly.

I havn't played live in a long time, I really want to get back into it but the only options around my area are pub tourneys that turn into crap shoots near the end of the night, you could be chip leader by only have 4 BBs, the cash games start after these and are normally dealers choice, and I don't know enough about a lot of the games they play to risk the amount of money they play.

I must start visiting casino's around to place to get my live game going, I'd really love to play in a proper run game with decent chip stacks, but I do know that I have way too many tells at the moment to make any money, I'd consider myself a play the cards rather than the player type player at the moment

The Kings are starting a deepstack slow clock tourney on a Tuesday.
Ca$h games are pot limit omaha and n/l holdem.
The guys know what they're at..

Interesting point on changing where you play but from site to site is a bit too general. Its probably a better plan to change how you play accorrding to your game or table.

For example, playing a tight table your able to loosen up your raising range a lot more but be careful to similarly tighten up your calling range significantly. Also on this type of table any type of resistance should be viewed as genuine.

Again on a loose table, your ability to be patient and tighten up your rasing and calling range is what gives you your edge.

I might check out the game in the Kings, there is a big game in the Gallow's on a Tuesday night, I think it's a straight game, but you can rebuy/topup as often as you want so the prize pool is massive.

I know what your saying Theresa, but I'm trying to bring up the different styles between sites, not just tables
