I might start doing tae kwon do in a few months - I have never done it before and have no flexibility. Can someone recommend some basic stretches for a beginner that I can do in the meantime to soften the learning curve when I start doing tkd?

Honestly mate you’ll learn everything you need to know about stretching and how to stretch correctly when you start your first few classes.

I recommend this E-book if you want to learn a little more about how flexibility and muscles work. It also has a few stretches in it.

For simple stretches just type leg/back/calf etc stretches into google and you’ll get exercises . I’d recommend you get someone to show you first though, don’t want a injury before you even start.

Best of luck with the TKD, it’s a great martial art.
