My friend was building a holiday home a while ago and we stayed there one night. We brought a tent down and set it up indoors.

    Still managed to fall apart.

But I think that was more to do with the drink

Its a funny old world. Our life in the west is so different to that of the poor workers in the east who make those tents.....they could not even aspire -( even after a lifetime of making such tents, which leave the far east for a few dollars each, before freight / import duty / customs / packaging / Dunnes margins etc are added )- , to escape their miserable life for one night of drunken splendour , never mind building a holiday home.

Used one last year when they had them in stock (bit dearer then)
Absolute useless, provided about as much protection from the wind
and rain as a tent made of paper :(

Those tents were €20 for a two man before <the unmentionable>, i got one and it was fine, I left it after me. (Not before ripping the sides off to line the boot of the car for the trip home cover muddy boots etc.) so for €7 its a dinger in my book!

What I did was buy two, cut the bottom out of one and put them on top of each other. kinda of making a top sheet out of the one without a bottom.

But they are useless, very cramped, it's really only a one man. you'd be better off putting the money into something half decent.

Is that the same unmentionable that's already mentioned earlier in the thread? :D

Yeah but with a different spelling. You can't ban Oxygen for obvious reasons.

The folding chairs are great, but DO NOT use these tents if you have a suspicion that it may rain when you will be using them. They are not waterproof at all, the inside of them gets soaked and if you barely touch off them, an avalanche of water drops will fall on you. They are also tiny, less of a 2 man tent, more of a 2 midget tent.
