I was wondering. I am currently in new york and want to get some work done. Does anyone know a good tattoo parlour in New York City to get some lettering done ?

i think Paul Booth works in N.Y, this guy is amazing, specialises in dark imagery. probably a bit more than youve asked for, plus hes about $400 per hour. Simple lettering shouldnt be too much for a good artist.

Just look out for these following things:

    - nice straight lines on artists portfolio
    - good placement of tattoo in relation to body (flow)
    - good colour work (if you want colour)

them being sound enough is always a positive thing too :)
ask locals and see what they say

Paul Booth was appointment only and was booked years in advance. He wouldn't touch lettering either. His shop has closed recently due to his busy schedule with other aspects of his business and falling out with his staff. Hopefully he gets his act together and gets it open again.
