OMG, your thread has just made me realise I have no good shoes for my graduation next week. Eek!

I'm a 7.5 so in a similar situation. I'm wearing a strapless dress from Monsoon, cream and white, quite dressy.

Try Cinders on Wicklow st, the go up to a 42 in some brands! Or Cinderella shoes, they're online though, so depends how much time you have!

havnt a clue about shoes as i hate fancy shoes, and usually only wear flats (although i did get a great pair of kitten heels, like maybe an inch high in korkys which are identical to ones they have in schuh for about twice the price and have got so many compliments on them!)
my graduations comin up to so i must take a look around too. as for not knowing how formal, i think definitely go less formal than more formal. go for a party dress, something stunning but knee length -none of this down to your ankles stiff silk or chifffon crap encrusted with diamands and whatnot -i always just think it makes you look like a little girl trying to dress like a "grown up" or something, i dont know... i just think they look kinda ridiculous. better to get a a shorter party dress than you can wear again to weddings, or just good nights out. i'd say avoid coast, as everyone seems to flock their for grad dresses, and theyre pretty boring recently anyway. urban outfitters have some great dresses at the moment both in their designer sections (pricey) and their Lux brand(not so pricey at all). also look around vintage stores, ive found some great dresses in those places. and if you want to make sure you get something different, dont be afraid to buy a pretty plain dress in a highstreet store, or root something out of your wardrobe and then take a trip into hickeys and get crafty. i couldnt find my ideal dress for my last grad, so i took this green dress i have that fits great, bought this great pink velvet ribbon which i stitched around under the bust and tied at the back in a bow and then stitches on some little pink rose thingies around the front and hem. so many people asked where i'd gotten it. it's great to make something your own by customizing it like that.

I was in Oasis a while ago trying on a dress and there were some really nice shoes in the changing rooms - I think there were about 6 shoes and they all came in 6 or 6 different colours, so you could get the pair you liked best in the colour you needed/liked most. It might be worth having a look there?
