Been saying this for years, but this year i will be out of the country for the new years celebration.Plus its the gf birthday on the 30th (worst possible time. And no,I don't get away with two for one on the presents).

Any reccommendations for a warm decent party spot for four days with new years in mind?

Not really able to stretch to Canaries for a week due to funds, but seen cheap flights for Barcelona on the 29th.Heard its not the warmest place during christmas, any ideas?

Was in Madrid last new year. In Spain they exchange gifts on little christmas 6th Jan. It was like Christmas eve in Dublin the whole time.

And no sales, so no shopping bargains.

However Barcelona is a lovely city, I stayed there in the summer.
