I have a big sports bag that i use. If the barrell sticks out at all or i think it migh, then i pus a black sack over it. And never take my hand off mine, never. I also check it every five or ten minutes to make sure the bag hasn't ripped and theres no way it will fall open or anything like that.

a large sports bag is fine.you could also use a blackbag or a a portable tent bag.there long and spacious

i got one hard case for each of my aeg's at the near exact size of the gun.
i try choosing cases that dont really look like gun cases, to not get too much attention.
anything else (bdu, pistols, ammo) goes into random backpack :p

A guitar case would probably do the trick :P

    exactly !
i had a bass guitar case for my SL-9 (sl9 is now sold, case too)
i ordered special black foam to fill it and then cut the form of the gun/scope/magazines into it
i must say it looked very nice :p
the only bad thing about it was the weight : the empty case was 5 kilo :(

Use anything that hides the shape of the AEG. Plastic bags are a big no no.

You can buy rifle cases for 15-25 euro. Makes you appear more responsible, 'official' and safer.

If your gonna use a guitar case go with a hard case it doesnt weigh as much as a flight case and they would probably be better built.... I had a flight case once and the handle snapped on me and put a few dents in the guitar :(:(

    Something like this:

By the way, do NOT BUY EHOBBY RIFLE BAGS!

They're very badly made. Everyone I know who has one has had the zips break at some point. There's even a risk of the zip bursting completely and your AEG falling out.

Good durable guitar case does the trick. I'd chose a material one rather than a hard case for the simple fact that they are much easier to transport.

You can manipulate the shape of the bag so it fits easier into cars, busses etc. The wind doesn't catch them nearly as much as it does a hard case.

a rifle bag is light and a nice concealment but you have to remember its just a bag - not a serious protection.

Agree 100%...Oisin mentioned that to me at Barrage when he saw me carrying one, and sure enough, it lasted two more days before falling apart.

I just received an excellent heavy duty duffel type bag from Red Wolf for only slightly more than I paid for the eHobby one, and by the feel of it, it'll last a hell of a lot longer.

i have been searching for a hard flight-case for my CYMA AK Folder now for the last while but cannot for the life of me find one, have tried Maplins, Ehobby & Ebay and every two bit bag shop i come accross.
does anyone know where i could pick one up for in or around the €30 mark, i had the exatct measurements writting down but cant find them, youre talking roughly about 32 x 12in x 4 in.

    like this only longer

they definitely seem to be the tidier option.

you should try going to a sports shop, look for plastic cases for foldable bows.

A guitar gig bag like below is another option
I've been using one for the last 6 months
It holds any long rifle and a lot of extras

Just cause it isnt specified doesnt mean they dont ship to us. Just PM them and they'll likely give you the rates.

Ok, two things: I have an eHobby rifle bag - not the mae-west, but if it's not being given serious amounts of abuse it does the job in a fairly practical manner (i.e. better than using your AEG box + blanket to hide the markings on the box, or a gym back black sack over barrel sticking out the top). TBH, it's worth the investment to pick up a decent soft case.

I also have a large flight case (which is already banged up after a flight to the UK and back) that I am non too happy about now, and will be looking to replace it already. Again, investing in a quality case with reliable locking is order of the day.

As for transporting AEGs via air - I would very much recommend being utterly up front about what you're carrying. If you book online, ring up afterwards to check for prices for firearms and declare it. At check in, declare it. At the oversize baggage area where you'll be asked to check it in, declare it. If they ask you questions, go out of your way to be helpful and keep your explanations short and succinct and avoid overly dramatic anecdotes.

My experiences on air transport are as follows: Flybe didnt' bat an eyelid. Dublin airport didn't bat an eyelid. Southampton airport did, but it was all sorted in short order by showing them the kit, showing it's in a safe state and explaining what it was and showing why it couldn't be converted to fire live rounds.

Dunno, but by the looks of it my case took some serious pounding. One of the combination locks (it has two combo locks, plus two lockable latch locks) is bjorked and doesn't open even with teh correct combo and needs pried open with a screwdriver or knife. When the case isn't locked, the lid looks like it's been knocked out of line so I suspect that's what's causing trouble with the lock. The two latch locks are dubious. I swear I locked them at Dublin airport yet they were both open (as in unlocked, but still closed) when I arrived at GZ.

The case itself is pretty sturdy and up to the task of keeping the contents within safe and sound, don't get me wrong - I'm just a bit miffed over the whole lock thing. Pisses me off considering the amount I put into that case.

Proably fell off the cart or was damaged by the baggage handlers.

    Thats very annoying :(

Looking at getting a Storm case instead - bloody indestructable. You use your own locks on them too, so if one gets damaged, get it off and replace with another.
