Maybe one of your mates has an apartment with a parking space they don't use? Or maybe the rental company would store it for free?

You could try Bewley's Hotel in Ballsbridge. 1 euro an hour...about a third of any other car park...and loads of buses into town from there. The other option is forget the car park...plenty of free parking once you're outside town and in the more residential areas. Bus/Dart/Luas into town...parking close to the line.

Do you have a resident's parking permit - you can get visitor's permits for €1-2 per day.

REturn it to the hire co, hire another car 2 days later, OR how about the long term car park, quick park at the airport, and bus into town

where's your mate staying, there are plenty of non disk areas in dublin, especially back streets and small towns within the dublin area, as was said above D4 there are loads and lots of the f00kers have noticed so can't get near my house anymore during business hours.

Get them to call the hire company and ask about placing the car "On park" at one of their sites. Say they are going away for a few days but still need the car. Otherwise park it on the side of the road in a nice residental area and swing by and check it once in a while, or head for a big company with an open car park and leave it there;)
