Ok villian is a complete calling station (both post and pre flop) - he has gotten lucky on me in a few hands on the river.......

    Hand 1:

Paddy Power "TURBO" Schneider 0.50/1, hand converted by the iPoker Converter at Talking-Poker

    saw flop | saw showdown

    Button Pokerhollic ($119.05)
    SB wii23and ($100)
    BB pokerman1204 ($98.50)
    UTG Hero ($261.95)
    UTG+1 humpo1963 ($267.62)
    CO FishToTheMax ($117.85)

Preflop: Hero is UTG with 4diamond.gif 4heart.gif
    Hero raises to 3, humpo1963 calls 3, 1 fold, Pokerhollic calls 3, 2 folds.

    Flop (10.50) 9heart.gif 4club.gif 6spade.gif
    Hero bets 6, humpo1963 calls 6, 1 fold.

    Turn (22.50) 4spade.gif
    Hero bets 10, humpo1963 calls 10.

    River (42.50) 2club.gif
    Hero bets 65

Ok my thinking in this hand - this guy has been calling with anything on all streets over a long session and has been getting lucky. I have recently bluffed him off a few pots and shown him -
Will i get paid off enough in the long run to make the river overbet a profitable play or should i just do a standard value bet on the river............ result later

Second hand - came about 10 hands after hand 1

Paddy Power "TURBO" Schneider 0.50/1, hand converted by the iPoker Converter at Talking-Poker

    saw flop | saw showdown

    Button pokerman1204 ($98.50)
    SB Hero ($305.85)
    BB humpo1963 ($218.22)
    UTG FishToTheMax ($116.85)
    UTG+1 Pokerhollic ($120.60)
    CO wii23and ($102.10)

Preflop: Hero is in the SB with Tdiamond.gif Tspade.gif
    1 fold, Pokerhollic calls 1, 1 fold, pokerman1204 raises to 4, Hero calls 3.50, humpo1963 calls 3, Pokerhollic calls 3.

    Flop (16.00) 4club.gif Aclub.gif Tclub.gif
Hero checks, humpo1963 checks, Pokerhollic checks, pokerman1204 checks.

    Turn (16.00) 6diamond.gif
    Hero bets 10, humpo1963 calls 10, 2 folds.

    River (36.00) 3spade.gif
    Hero bets 25, humpo1963 raises to 100

my thinking - decided to play the pocket 10s as a set or nothing...... decided to check raise on flop - checked to the turn, where i bet over half the pot - river comes a blank - i put in a value bet and calling station villain puts in a big raise - your move..... result later

your bet sizing in 1 is really bad. against villain described just bet the pot on the flop and turn.

as played i would just make a normal pot sized bet, dont really see the point of this bet. if i was overbetting, i would bet alot more

2 again your bet sizing sucks, bet more on the turn and riv for value. i also like alead here. as played, puke. depends on villains aggression stats but prob call, he can have a crappy 2 pair enough i think, but it could easily be afold

Bet sizing is poor in both hands. Hand one, if you want to overbet against this villain, do it on the turn not the river.

yea my bet sizing was not good - but on your point, against this guy, you say to overbet the turn....? - should i not be giving people like this the chance to improve on the river? - there wasnt a big draw on the board.....

In hand 1, why not bet $1 on turn and go all in on river?

yea i see what youse are getting at in regard to hand 1 - i should have made my overbet look wild on the river
