Pill problem

Quick question, I know this isnt a medical board and all that and I will be going to my gp about it, even though hes a moron

Okay, Ive been on the pill for the past 5 years or so, was on one brand at the start and it made me crazy (I could have rivalled the excorsist) then went onto another, the other one seemed fine until I came off of it a couple of months ago and realised I was suffering the same thing as before, unsure of whether it was the pill or the situations I was in I went back on it to see except now Im feeling crazy again and I really dont feel myself, Im on a pill thats supposed to be really mild. Is this because Im not suitable for the pill or what? Im a bit too afraid to use condoms alone as they can split spillages slippages etc. and the treatment I got the last time I got the morning after pill was enough to put me off.

    Help?

If you find your doctor doesn't suit your needs, move doctors or at least get a second opinion.

I suspect the mood change is down to the change in hormones, not whether you are or are not on the pill.

There are lots of options out there, but you really need to discuss it with a doctor.

You really should go to a GP. Hormones can make you act mental at any time, whether you're on a pill or not.

The various types of pill effect women in different ways so we really can't say what the matter is here.

Investigate different options and then look for a GP who can discuss them with you.

Yes OP see a doctor, maybe go to a family planning clinic if you're unsure about your own doctor. I go to the well woman clinic on liffey street rather than my GP about these matters, I find them really good.

None of us can give you any definite advice. I've been on three different types of pill over the last five years and have had several breaks in between. I do find that I get moody and have some other unpleasant symptoms when I start/come off a pill, as Victor says it may well be the change in hormone levels which causes this.

Only a doctor can really help you. Good luck

If you think your GP is a moron, why is he still your GP? Go to a female doctor, preferably one recommended to you by someone you trust.
