My xbox is currently with MSoft for repair.

Does any body know if i can ring them and get them to stop my xbox live subscription whilst i cant use it.

why would u do that? honestly it would take a month tops for it to get back to you then you would need to purchase a new subscription a lá €60

When your 360 returns it will have a month live gold card in the box. In my case they actually put two of them in. I think I got two because my 360 was gone for over a month.

slightly off topic but someone might know, i have a recurring xbox gold subscription and a few monthly gold cards. I want to use the cards so i get a few months free. do i need to temporarily cancel my subscription?

If you add cards it will add that time to your subscription, extend it basically, so you don't need to cancel anything. At least that's how it seems to work from my experience.

dont want to cancel it just pause the subscrption whilst i cant use it, a few free cards would do the job though

They send them out automatically so you've nothing to worry about.

so let me get this right. Even though im recurring monthly paying by credit card, if i input the freebie months, it wont debit my credit card until the freebies expire? cool!
