Singer with material looking to join band

Right so, where to begin or end....

I have been writing and playing music for a long time, I haven’t gigged in a year now as I got wrapped up in a job. Things have settled now, and I really want to get back into playing.

I was gigging allot until last summer including live on the radio. This interview and three songs were put on download where I had three songs in the top ten download at numbers 1, 2 & 7. I remained in the top ten for three months.

I would love to play with a band where there was a musical click. I adore music, and I love the feeling when a song starts to come together.

My influences are varied, its really hard to describe what I listen to. I buy several cd's every week and make sure to buy one album by an artist I have never heard of. To list a few

U2, David Bowie, Black rebel Motorcycle Club, The Jesus & Mary Chain, Reef, System of a Down, Ottis Redding, Likin Park, Bob Dylan, The Frames, Rolling Stones, The Police, Arcade Fire.

In fact trying to write a list of influences is just too hard, I feel like I'm cornering myself. I am really open musically, what I am looking for is a good rock, guitar sound. The new Black Rebel Motorcycle Club album Baby 83 is probably a good indicator.

I can't say I'm that enamored with much of the recent "rock bands", I just haven’t been able to get into any of their songs, I want to do something with more edge.

Most importantly, I want our music to be popular, to strike a chord with people (no pun intended) and to have people relate to what your playing.

Oh, and no72 minute solos!

Anyway, I've been rambling, I feel like I'm writing a personal add! - Not that I ever have...

I live in South Dublin and work in Kildare.

Hey man,

What type of format are you looking for? Would you be doing lead guitar yourself? Would you perhaps be looking for drums, rhythm guitar and bass?

EDIT: I'm a guitarist with a love for heavy metal, but I'm interested in making music that grabs everybody's ears straight away, and ultimately carries meaning.

hey, all I can play is rythm and due to a recent accident I wont be able to play guitar till march or so next year. looking to get a 4 or 5 piece together, dont really mind, just want to get a good band together with good music
