    Hello.
    I'll be starting in Trinity this October. I'm a singer-songwriter and was wondering how possible it would be to get a few gigs in Dublin (I'm a Galway man) amd also how musical the other Trinity students are. I'd love to start a band of some sort but that could be figured out later.

    It´s definitely possible. (This is the bit where I pimp...)

    Join DURNS in Fresher´s week, and they´ll help you get gigs around Dublin, and set you up with bandmembers if you wish. If you´re living in Halls, there´s a music room there, so you can easily set up practice sessions with other TCD students. (It´s a bit dodge when it comes to non Trinners)

    and don't see DURNS anywhere.

    DURNS is there, it's under 'R' for Rock Nostalgia Society. Just checked it there and it doesn't look like there's a site for it though.
