I get the above error when I'm trying to install .Net 2 on a slipstreamed reinstall of WinXp. The full error dialog is Extracting file failed. It is most likely caused by low memory (low disk space for swapping file) or corrupted Cabinet file.

I've looked it up and think it maybe caused by this : http://support.microsoft.com/kb/840827 . That hasn't been updated in over a year though and didn't see any other references to a hotfix for this.

So wondering if anyone knows a way around this short of doing a WinXp repair? Note: I want to install .Net2 to so I can run nLite to create a new slipstreamed install disk, first slipstream I created was through scripts so maybe some cabs got corrupted?

    Cheers
