Electronic noticeboard/splash screen

    Hi,
I want to set up a sort of electronic noticeboard, site-wise through about 30 endusers.

Something that requires little or no input from the users, just appears on their screens at start-up.

It will list important info for that day - meetings, parking notices, lunch etc - and needs to be capable of being updated by 4 or 5 people.

Is there some freeware out there for this?

We run Windows Server 2003, if that's any help!

(And I have suggested utilising Outlook more efficiently, didn't fly!)

    Thanks for any help

If you had network admin and the machine names you could just send a console message. E-mail would be better though.

Yes, I could send a console message, and I agree Outlook used correctly would be the best method.

However, the people sending the info are not network admins, and management would like something on the desktop, that updates automatically and is seen when people log on.

You can make login messages for Windows domains - I never found out how to do them though...

Fancy doing some reading? It should be possible to script a acceptable program.
