Professional calibration

    I've seen it mentioned on a few UK forums that its possible to get an ISF technician to professionally calibrate your hdtv and I was wondering are there any crowds in Ireland offering this service? And if so are any recommended (or to be avoided)

    Hi m8,

    I work for one of the big AV companies.

    I can send you a test pattern that we use to calibrate the screens if you'd like to try it yourself.

    I use a DVD I picked up a couple of years ago at a trade show and find it works quite well.
    Spending several hundred euro getting it done by a professional in your home? Depends on your TV. If you've forked out big money on a 1080p plasma then maybe, but on a budget priced 42" plasma or lcd I wouldn't bother.

    If , by any chance , you have Sky HD , there is a 45 minute program on calibrating your setup presented by Mylene klass , test cards , test tones for your home cinema , the lot ! Its delivered over sky anytime.
