Me and my sister(or my sister and I) build a tree house when we were 8, it all ended in disaster when we were playing cops and robbers. I threw a rock at the tree house and it fell down like the World Trade center. Luckily my sister survived, but was never the same again..

Beautiful analogy, go step into a fire and think about what you've done.

And yes, I remember building forts... teehee... I kinda want to get do it now ^_^.

Yep, just turn a few chairs upside down and you'd be invincible. :) We attempted to build a tree fort on several occasions but it never came to life.

went to my granny's on the weekends. She lived on a farm and we built some amazing forts out of bales. Used to drive the farmer nuts though finding all has bales tied together!

I was thinking of building one tomorrow, but I think it could be a bit placid by myself, I reckon maybe when I see my nephews who are only 2 and 4, would be a better time. :D

*head down, hands behind back, one hand holding the wrist of the other arm, right leg arched with toe in the ground, foot moving from side to side, glances up*

:o I'm... em, not doing anything tomorrow, if you need somebody to play with... Just saying is all...

We used to build forts from snow.
Once it lasted for 5 days after the rest of the snow melted.

I wouldn't invite Gaybo, he'd fúckin wreck the fort, do you not recall how rough he was when they did the antiques show?

COWBOYS TED, THEY'RE A BUNCH OF COWBOYS!

on topic, me and my brother used to pile matresses on top of bed frames and play ramp, one would climb the matress ramp and the other would have to pull the other down and try to get to the top, it was so much fun. he is getting married next summer so i might challenge him to a game in the hotel for old times sake.

ah we called it a base back then. we had house doors as walls, evergreen branches as camoflage and matresses and plastic lining for a floor and a firepit and the best times were when we had a fire going and a couch with a few of the boys chillaxing . mind you this was in tolka valley park

So anyone with the freedom of the city is free to build couch forts wherever they like? Hmmm, perhaps its time for me to begin reasearching an end to disease, famine and war then.

I baggsies the penguin island in Dublin Zoo. My flightless army will soon put you all in your place. Mwahahaha.

Yeah, the oul bales trick is great. Used to do it in Wexford back in the day. Plus the couch trick with nieces and nephews before me ma sold her house.
Also back in the day when Eddie Macken and Paul Darragh were the Cian O'Connor and Jessica Kuerten of their day, we (my brothers and I) useda get all the junk in the back yard and make fences out of it and jump around. Always sorry I never got into athletics and the high jump. I had the early training and aptitude for it....
