    This has probably been asked a million times but im looking for a decent video converter to convert .mov and .m4v to xvid/divx .avi

    It doesnt have to be free, but if it is.. all the better :)

    VSO ConvertXToDVD its not free but its fast , all you have to do is drag and drop and hit the convert button , there is a trial version but it leaves a watermark

    I got TMPGEnc..

    Its really good and doesnt look like most dodgey video converters :p

    Super ftw! (linkage)

    It can basically convert pretty much anything to anything... It's a bit awkward to start with (i found so anyway) but once you get the hang of it it's mighty...

    Plus it's 100% free too (which helps).
