TV Presenters from the 80's / 90's

Just wondering what peoples reminiscences (sp?) are of TV presenters frm years gone by (1980's / 1990's). What made me write this was watching the Rose of Tralee last night and realising how old Ray Darcy got in such a short space of time. I remember the days when he was on Jo-Maxi with the floppy fringe and brown hair/baby face. Has time really moved on that much???

Pat Sharp... good old Funhouse!... oh the memories...
Actually I'm surprised you didn't put the twins down as among your early crushes, thought most lads seemed to fancy them?

Your first crushes remind you of a bald guy and a dog?! So was it the bald guy or the dog that you were smitten with?:p

Think my favourite presenter had to be Sooty (know he wasn't really the presenter but he was more entertaining than the actual one by far IMO)... I could probably watch that show now and still be entertained by it.:o

Phillip Schofield & Sarah Greene on 'Going Live'.

Probably the best Sat morning kids TV ever.
For those of you too young and only think Ant/Dec and Cat Deeley were good, they were nothing compared to them.

Oh, toe-knee-heart is my favourite too. I always wanted him to be my grand dad. Seems like such a nice man.
Ian dempsey was better than ray.

Actually, there was another young presenter on that show who I thought was very easy on the eye. He had spiky hair, I think his first name was Chris...

Good old John Craven's Newsround. :) There was always a telephone in the background and in all the years of the program, it only rang once. I can still remember it. He was startled but answered it after explaining that it had never rung before. :D

(He can still be seen presenting CountryFile on BBC on Sunday mornings and still has the same distinctive voice.)

Possibly the 70s, but as a child I thought Roy Castlewas the bees knees - he could do just about anything. Presented 'Record breakers' with the McWhirter twins, even breaking a few records on the show himself. I wanted to be just like him when I grew up, but a complete lack of any talent got in the way

I hated when he played the trumpet for that stupid 'dedication' song at the end of the shows! :(
