I have only watched the first one but is it just me or do they seem to show less and less poker every year ? !!

Thats how they sell poker to the yanks. All the life stories, the yank then feels involved like he can shout for some guy, cause he took up poker when his dad was dying from cancer to raise the cash for his operation, and then he realised he could make a living at it.

actually i might start a new thread on this one, and see who can come up with the best story, so one of the boardsies can use it next year when he plays the main event.

Haven't watched em yet, but I'd imagine the early episodes are quite difficult to structure in terms of showing any play with SO many people taking part. Fair enough if they show a bit of the atmosphere for the first couple and then get down to business when the field narrows to a couple of hundred.

Also, I have seen many bad plays on my life but omg they were all topped in these episodes when a guy hits quads on the turn and calls a bet, he then pushes on the river and the guy goes I have to call and calls with J HIGH!!
I was in stiches watching it. He was then complaining about his luck!

That is a brief synoposis of the 1st 20 minutes of episode 1. If I had a button in front of me that would stab either commentator when pressed, my fists would be bloody and raw right now due to incessant pounding.

I've watched the rest of the EP's and the commentators remind me of Celebrity Deathmatch. What is with the guy constantly slaggin people's hairstyles? The other guy isn't too bad.

I'm waiting until I win a big (enough) one that I get interviewed afterwards.

'It's my first live tournament!', I'll say.

Read this so many times/hear them say it on ESPN, then you check their hendon mob and they have previous small cashes in various tournaments etc.
