I've never played any of the Final Fantasy series so unsure whether I'd like this. Is it very combat based? I like an RPG with plenty of exploring and actual role-playing. Also, I hear it is 3 disks! I get bored of FMVs every 30 seconds, is this a big part of the game?

I've heard the demo isn't a great indicator of the game's quality.

    Worth a purchase?

Reviews have been very lukewarm. It's got a great pedigree but apparently there's nothing new whatsoever. Even Nobuo's music is fairly stale. I think I'll be giving this a miss and waiting for Eternal Sonata, the demo blew me away. A fresh RPG with a beautiful art-style.

If you've completed Oblivion then the choice of RPG's isn't great for the 360. Enchanted Arms was good but not great and Phantasy Star was a bit boring. I'll deffinitely be picking it up. The visuals and general style of the game look nice and refreshing. I think it will be a fairly good game
