Does anyone know where a lay person can get there hands on some sodium lauryl sulphate. I want to use it as an emulsifier.

    Thanks for any assistance.

It's a constituent in many soaps, shampoos and detergents though, so depending on your desired application, these may suffice.

/edit...spoke too soon, this place here does it http://www.chemistrystore.com/sodium_lauryl_sulfate.htm

    Hi Sean,

    Thanks for your reply.

I am looking for it in its pure form. I followed the livk you supplied but they are bases in the US and supply it by gallon. I really only want a very small amount.

    Thanks

It's hard enough to get this in small amounts. I suppose you could ask a local pharmacy if they could get some in for you. You'd have to speak directly to the pharmacist though and there might be rules about selling it OTC as it is a toxic irritant...
