hi, im kinda new to this whole sport but im looking into getting a pistol and i was interested in the KJW M9 or the WE M1911 from Eirsport,
ive read on this forum about someone having problems with the M9 misfiring and generally having bad build quality. Im just wondering if anyone else on here has either of these pistols and how they rate them,

    cheers,

i've had both and i'd go with the we 1911. i like the look of it much better and i geuss thats the main reason as i never really liked m9's but i also feel the mags are of better quality in the 1911 and it feels much better firing.

I had the initial teething problems with the M9 but they are gone
    now thankfully.

The Build quality is OK but I was comparing it to another pistol I had
by the same maker that was of higher quality. And the mechanisms used
looked as through they were more modern and sturdy.

I personally prefer the M9 Look to the 1911 having liked the look of Berretta's
since watching Lethal Weapon1 as a kid. But I may buy a 1911 in the Future too.
(I already have a replica of one)

Have a KJW M9. Its great. My trigger spring broke but that can happen on any gun. I've held the WE1911 and it does feel slightly more realistic. I'd say personal preference is the one. Do you want a realy old but cool sidearm or something more moder to match your loadout. If you dont have an AEG though i advise you get a slone one first as they are about the same price, no gas or silicone or adaptor needed and they are a LOT more usefull with 300rnd Hi-caps:D

well i hate to throw a wobbler...you are going to wind up buying both if you like them, so does it matter which you pick first?

have the M9 its a good piece, the trigger spring is a bit weak though, you can order new spring sets on ehobby for like ten dollars and since i changed it mine was fine. its easy enough to do and arnies have a guide on-line for doing it. piece of cake, so don't let the spring put you off

the WE hi-capa series are simply the best pistols for beginners.
those have no malfunction at all (well i haven't seen any yet)
very tough construction, very reliable, accepts any kind of gas,
and very easy to disassemble, maintain & grease,
and on top of that, have very good performances and a wonderful kickback :)

looks like most are in favour of the 1911 over the M9, i already have an AEG though, its nothing special but I havent had a sidearm yet so was looking into these pair, im not going to buy both though because im just looking for something cheap and decent until i get a better one in the future. I think i prefer the look of the 1911 over the way more common M9 but was more interested in reliability over looks really.,

also does anyone know if Eirsoft have a premises or do they only deal over the internet?

thanks for all the comments and if anyone has anything else to add...
