What information does a patient have to give an anestheseist? (sorry for bad speling)

Is it important for the anastheseist to know the heath history of the patient's parents, for example?

Of course. If there is a family history of blood pressure problems, clotting problems, allergies to medications etc, the anaesthesiologist will want to know as much as he/she can. I would have thought this was obvious.
