PC Dead - Diagnostics LEDs say "Initializing USB"

    Hi guys,

Was watching a movie on my computer this afternoon (with VLC) and using my USB headset for sound. Everything was perfect. Then I decided to play a bit of Call of Duty but I had no sound so I quit the game and went to the sound properties in the control panel to see if I had somehow set the sound to come out on my speakers. Turns out my PC could no longer find any audio devices which is weird as I usually have two (On-board Realtek and USB Sennheiser headset)!

So I tried rebooting my PC and now it won't boot up anymore! It turns on but nothing appears on screen... I have a DFI LanParty UT 915P-T12 motherboard with Diagnostics LEDs and they're showing "Off On Off On" which means "Initializing USB" based on the User Manual. So I removed all my USB devices and tried booting up again bu still nothing!

What the heck is going on? This seems pretty serious to me... I checked everything I could and it all seems fine. I've had this PC for over a year and I've never had any problems with it! Any ideas fellas?

My guess is it could be either the motherboard or the CPU. Try and get hold of a compatible known working motherboard or CPU and test. Might be worth trying the PSU beforehand if you can.

EDIT: Also, before anything else, check out that the monitor is working. If you know anyone with a laptop get them to connect the monitor to it to see if it's ok.
