Corrupted Sky Profile

    I currently have the Entertainment Mix and wanted to add Sky Sports 1 for the footy seeing that the season has started again. But after requesting that my subscription be upgraded 4 days ago, I am still waiting for Sky to activate this channel. After multiple long phone calls with the same questions being asked again and again, they finally came up with an answer - the deatils that are on their computer database are incorrect regarding my Sky box/viewing card, and this will have to be reset by the IT guys. They told me that this would take 24 hours at most but I am still waiting 2 days later. Now Im told that they cannot give me a lead time!!
    Has anyone ever had this problem with Sky and how long did it take to resolve?

    What message are you getting on sky sports 1. Is it saying "call such and such a number to upgrade" or is it saying "this is the wrong card for this set top box"?

    I had a simelar problem. I recently upgraded to sky+ and added sky sports to the package (also for the footy), it took them a full week to add the new channels and pair my card to the new box. But finally it was sorted, BTW being able to select a program to record straight out of the EPG is brilliant !
    I had read about it before but did'nt realise how good this is till you actually have it.

    Got sorted after 10 long days and various phone calls with sky personnel who seemed not to care about customer support. The message that I was getting was 'This is the wrong card for this top box'. :)

    If I upgraded to any premium channel I would get that message as my receiver was replaced on older card. It was never paired. It's a simple matter of getting them to pair card number and box serial number. They have no way of knowing this is the problem unless they are told.

    However they should guess by asking you what the message is.
