Made a discovery while visiting the brother in law down in Ennis Co Clare for the last few days. I was in the market for a Dyson Dc 20 vacuum cleaner which I had priced in Argos Dublin but found to my surprise that Kielys Electrical Ennis are selling them as follows €120 cheaper for the standard model and €100 cheaper for the Allergy and Animal ones.

Should be no need to go to Ennis, this was already up a couple of weeks ago. Most stores that sold Dysons were doing the same such as Powercity and DID. It was a Dyson initiative and depending on the model you bought you received between €50 and €150 off, we got something like €150 off our DC20 animal when we bought it a while ago.

So anyone know anywhere in Dublin that are selling at discounted prices?

    Thanks

yeah I wanted the DC20 Animal and bought it in DID Lucan a couple of weeks back think I got between 100 and 150 euros off for trading in my old one. Savage machines for picking up dirt of the stairs carpet and hardwood floors :)

Bought a DC 19 in Curry's of all places for 299 on Christmas Eve, seen the same one in Debenhams (Blackrock) today for 232 :( They also have the DC20 but I was past the point of caring.

Didn't know there was a trade in deal, that would have been good as our old Dyson had died, hence the replacement.

    Oh well.

But I thought Dysons suffer "no loss of suction"*

*I know, adverts lie, ours gave up the ghost after a year of dog hairs, crumbs and general dust on hardwood floors and a carpeted stairs :(

Have lost count of the amount of people that have told me they hate their Dysons. Loads, honestly (well, I asked). Miele is the business aparently. Have not heard one person complain about their Miele. All my mum´s white goods are Miele as well, she paid an absolute fortune but is incredible happy with all of them (and all of them going for over 10 years as well).

My, I sound like Miele sales person :(

We went for the Miele over the Dyson too..... Dyson too plastic looking for my liking. The Miele not only takes up the dirt but the carpet too if i'd let it :D, could'nt recommend them enough.
