    Hi,
Wonder if anyone could shed some light on this. I've a table in excel 10 rows x 4 columns of data i.e 40 bits of info. I need one of these tables for 70 companies. I also need a totals table. Is there a way I can select a company from say a drop down box, the table appears...fill in the info and then this will automatically update the totals table?
or any other ideas on how to simplify this task rather than having all 70 tables in a worksheet?

any help much appreciated. i've checked the excel help files but can't find ought

    thanks,
    chuck

I am slightly lost on what you are trying to achieve, but if you explain a bit further i may be able to help.

really sounds like a job for Access.

single worksheet with a clever autofilter system would work.
eg 5th column with the company name in it.

    wouldn't be overly pretty though.

Will it only be for the data or will it be for show?

Sounds to me like you need a spreadsheet of 700 rows x 5 columns. the first column being the company name. Then just filter using that. Sub totals etc. or a pivot table

Would a pivot table do the job?
