During a bit of a session last weekend, 4 of decided it would be a great idea to book Vegas for the New Year. (With a few drinks on board, it made the decision more decisive!!) We booked flights going over on the 29th Dec and back 4th. Booked the New York New York, which cost a pretty penny mind you, but how and ever, it's done now! I've been to Vegas several times before during the hot summer months, but have never been there over the new year.

Has anyone spent the New Year there? What's the weather like and what's to do?

    Thanks in advance

I was over there this year in January and the weather is a big change from the summer months, a big change. It was very cold at night (just around the freezing mark) but nice during the day around 14C. A few days before we arrived it was well below freezing during the day...

Never been there for new Years but i hear they close the strip off to traffic; and from Planet Hollywood up as far as Treasure Island is mental with crowds everywhere.
