Unbeaten middleweight sensation Andy Lee will make his Irish pro debut against Belfast battler, Ciaran Healy on this Saturday’s Hunky Dorys Fight Night at the Point, Dublin.

The Limerick southpaw, who competed at the 2004 Olympics has racked up 10 straight wins since turning professional in March of last year. He’ll be looking to make it 11 wins from 11 this weekend but won’t have an easy night against Healy who has a “fight anyone, anytime” attitude. In fact Healy fought as recently as last Saturday night chalking up an impressive points win in Cork.

The main event at the Point sees Bernard Dunne defend his European super bantamweight title against undefeated challenger Kiko “La Sensacion” Martinez.

    The full lineup is:

Bernard Dunne V Kiko Martinez – European Super Bantamweight title (12 Rounds)

Tony Oakey V Brian Magee – British Light Heavyweight title (12 Rounds)

Andy Lee V Ciaran Healy - (8 Rounds)

Matthew Macklin V Darren Rhodes - (8 Rounds)

Paul McCloskey V Alfredo Di Feto - (8 Rounds)

Nicky Smedley V Dariusz Snarski - (8 Rounds)

Willie Thompson V Artur Jashkul – (4 Rounds)

    Spoiler:

Wow. What happened? Dunne shows why you need to keep your hands up, especially against a puncher. We all knew it could happen but I have to confess that I didn't see it coming. Not that fast anyway.

    Caught cold or caught out?

lol. Whats this bullsh!t ive just seen where Magee won by 3 rds on one judges card and the other two judges scored it a draw so the majority decision is A Draw and Oakey keeps the belt:eek:
    Bullcrap

Yeah, was a **** decision alright.

Did you see McCloskey? He looked effortless... Unhoned, but definately effortless.

Paul McCloskey looks a good prospect but Lee is our best hope for a world title holder. If the great Emanuel Steward declares he will be the champ...then that's good enough for me!

3 points can be swayed by the difference in judging two rounds . Magee v Oakey was shown live on Setanta in the UK and from the people that viewed it I've had differing opinions on who should have won so maybe a draw was a fair result .

To me it seemed that Oakey was the harder puncher and the agressor but Magee landed more of the cleaner punches throughout the fight. I guess judges like agression and with him being the champ that swayed them.

Personally, I think Magee won the fight. But such is life.
