ya i did it up to 3rd year then specialised.
1st year pretty easy goin same kinda standard as L.C science subjects, most people fail physics tho, even tho its pretty easy! so if ya havent done physics go to those lectures!
lots of labs aswell which are good
    2nd year
begin to specialise abit more, more labs, course gets harder etc
3th,4th more specialisation into the field u want to get into.

overall the course is great, the campus is savage and the town is hoppin!

I'll be coming straight from Electric Picnic. Ugh.

1st Science is fine, just go to most of your lectures and tutorials and get your exam papers early.

I did the course. Started 5 yrs ago (or was it 6? I forget). Anyway doing postgrad in Physics now.

Physics in first year not that hard. Most people have not done it before, imo it has one of the smallest step ups from LC, but it is essentially 2 LC years condensed into one.

If you have not done physics before go to the lectures and defo go to the labs. You get 30% overall for labs and tbh a monkey could pick up 15% of that. Just make sure you go regularly and you'll be fine.

The lectures are boring and one lecturer in particular is not good. Overall though not that hard but you have to pay more attention to it than the rest if you haven't done it before

I did Biology and phys/chem so at least I have a base for all of them. :)

The great thing about undinominated science is there's so much choice. Go for group C (Physics, Maths, Chemistry, Biology) if you want to keep your options open in 2nd year (at least half for all first years do). If your more sure of what your interested in doing look at the other groups, there's Computer Science, Earth and Ocean Science, Maths Physics also on offer.
I went down the physics and maths road myself after trying my hand at computer science and EOS.
My advice would be take a look around, check out a few lectures, as far as know you can change around your options in the first month or so though you will be asked to make a decision at the advisory session (make sure not to miss that and talk to as many people as you can at it)
Kevmy is right physics can be though if you haven't done it in LC

I didn't want to name names in case it put people off but....

I think there is probably one of him in every department though
